The philosophy module I took as part of my studies was truly illuminating. It opened my eyes to the rich philosophical traditions that have developed in this part of the world, as well as the ways in which they
have influenced Malaysian culture and beliefs.

The emphasis on mindfulness and self-awareness in Malaysian philosophy was one of the most striking aspects of the course. I discovered the practice of "bersahaja," which entails letting go of attachments and living in the present moment, as well as the concept of "kemanusiaan," which entails recognizing our shared humanity and treating others with kindness and compassion.
Another aspect of the course that piqued my interest was the impact of Islam on Malaysian philosophy. I was astounded to learn about how Islamic concepts like tawhid (God's oneness) and keadilan (justice) have shaped Malaysians' philosophical perspectives. I also learned about the debates and discussions that have occurred among Malaysian Muslim philosophers, particularly on issues of ethics and morality.
Overall, this course has deepened my appreciation for Malaysia's distinct cultural and philosophical traditions, as well as helped me see the world in a new and more nuanced light. It has also inspired me to continue investigating how different philosophical traditions intersect and influence one another, both in Malaysia and elsewhere.
Finally, this philosophy module has been a truly enriching experience that has deepened my understanding of the world while also challenging me to think more critically and reflectively. I am grateful for the opportunity to study philosophy in Malaysia, and I am looking forward to continuing to learn and grow as a result of this experience.

In this assignment, I gained a lot of new skills including interpersonal, analytical, and technological literacy skills. It helps me to build a better personality and deepens my knowledge.
In my (our) chosen topic and themes, I learnt a lot regarding social standards and the effect which shape our community. Nowadays people tend to follow social standard that eventually loosing their sense of self and identity. It is a concern that we wanted to issue in our group assignment and raise the awareness.
In addition, working as a project lead taught me how to manage people, assign tasks, and run meetings. I occasionally interact with my team to make sure everything is going well and on the right track. I also did a check list to make sure we did not miss anything. During the event day, we faced clashed venue where we have to postpone our project. It is unfortunate that we cannot do much about it. However, our group manage to secure the venue on the next day. I was impressed by my members communication skills and the way they to Taylor’s venue manager to solve the problems. From this incident, it inspires to communicate more efficient and effective. My team members served as excellent role models for me as I learned to remain calm while handling problems. I am grateful to have a wonderful team that is responsible, with active participation and discipline.
In short, the assignment is meaningful as I am happy that I can contribute to the community.

The subject of philosophy, which I studied about in this module, examines some of the most fundamental and fascinating issues relating to existence, knowing, values, reason, consciousness, and
language. Understanding the world and our role in it involves assessing our ideas, presumptions, and values as well as investigating how we reason and make judgements.
I learned a few important things from philosophy. First, its metaphysics; this is concerned with the nature of reality, including the interaction between the mind and the physical world, between attributes and qualities, and between potentiality and reality. Another big component of philosophy is epistemology, which concentrates on the nature of knowing, such as belief and justification. Investigating the limits of human knowledge and the techniques employed to gain it in real life is made easier by understanding epistemology.
Another major philosophical discipline is logic, sometimes known as the principle of reasoning. Logic deals with the principles of reasoning and arguments. It is concerned with the formal systems used to examine the discussion's structure and the procedures used to judge the validity of the argument. Asthetics is the study of beauty and the nature of art. It was utilised in the layout of our Instagram page. We take into account the nature of the aesthetic experience, the criteria we faced, and the methods we employ to assess works of art in order to make it appear as though it is an approachable Instagram page.
The last type of thought is existentalism, which describes an individual's experience of the human condition. By starting with recording videos from different kind of race and religion and an Instagram page to encourage individuals to speak out if they experience prejudice and to cope with discrimination in order to prevent people from believing that their lives are unimportant.

The balance between tradition and modernity is the present philosophical heated topic in Malaysia. The significance of
tradition and cultural values in defining the destiny of a society that is fast modernizing and developing is a major topic of public debate. While some argue that embracing modernity and advancement is essential for economic growth and social progress, others contend that protecting traditional values and customs is necessary to preserve the nation's cultural identity.
The position of religion in society is a major topic of discussion. In Malaysia, a country with a mostly Muslim population, some people are becoming increasingly concerned about the impact of religious and conservative conceptions of Islam on social and political discussion. The movement for more liberal, progressive conceptions of Islam that advance social justice and more equality is also rising.
The relationship between the national govt and the diverse ethnic communities that make up the nation is another crucial component of this conversation. With significant communities of Malays, Chinese, and Indians, each with distinctive traditions and cultural values, Malaysia has a rich cultural diversity. Some people are becoming increasingly concerned about how the nation's cultural diversity may be disappearing as it continues to expand, and there is a need to discover ways to celebrate and conserve this diversity.
In conclusion, the current philosophical argument in Malaysia is a complicated and multifaceted one that reflects the opportunities and problems that come along with modernity's rapid development. The nation is currently at a pivotal moment as it attempts to establish a balance between tradition and modernism, religion and atheism, and cultural variety and national cohesion. The result of this discussion will have a big impact on the nation's future and how it will be perceived by future generations.

Throughout my study of philosophy in Malaysia, I have been exposed to a wide range of ideas and concepts that have challenged my perspectives and forced me to
think critically about the world around me. One of the key aspects of the module that has had a profound impact on me is the idea of ethics and morality.

Before starting this assingment, I had a limited understanding of what ethics and morality meant and how they applied to my daily life. However, through discussions and readings, I have come to realize the importance of these concepts in shaping our actions and decisions. The module has taught me to consider not only the consequences of my actions, but also the motivations behind them. This has led me to reflect on my own values and beliefs, and question whether they align with my actions and decisions.

Additionally, I was dumbfounded that how islamic impact on Philosophy Malaysia. Sufism, which emphasises spiritual development via reflection and meditation, is one of Islam's most significant philosophical impacts on Malaysia. Justice, compassion, and integrity are among the moral virtues that Islam places a high importance on. Muslim philosophers in Malaysia commonly refer to the Hadith and the teachings of the Quran to develop moral theories that are grounded in Islamic tradition. Muslim philosophers have long denied that human reason and divine knowledge are mutually exclusive and have attempted to make their philosophical stances compatible with Islamic teachings.

Overall, my study of philosophy in Malaysia has been a transformative experience. It has broadened my perspectives, encouraged me to think deeply about important issues, and helped me to develop a more nuanced understanding of ethics and morality. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow through this module, and I look forward to continuing to reflect on these important ideas in the future.

I have had the opportunity to explore various philosophical ideas, theories, and perspectives. This module has broadened my understanding
of the discipline and allowed me to gain new insights into the world around me.
One of the key ideas that has had a significant impact on me is the concept of relativism. Before this module, I had always believed in absolutes and the idea of objective truth. However, after studying relativism, I have come to understand that truth is subjective and relative to individual experiences and perspectives. This realization has made me more open-minded and has encouraged me to be more tolerant of others’ beliefs and opinions.
Another idea that has captured my attention is the concept of determinism. The idea that our actions and choices are predetermined has challenged my belief in free will and has sparked many discussions with my classmates and friends. I have come to appreciate the complexity of this issue and have developed a deeper understanding of the debate between determinism and free will.
In addition to these ideas, the module has also introduced me to various philosophical schools of thought, such as existentialism and pragmatism. These different perspectives have allowed me to broaden my understanding of the world and to appreciate the diversity of philosophical ideas.
In conclusion, this philosophy module has been a valuable and enriching experience for me. It has challenged my beliefs and has helped me to develop a deeper understanding of the world and of myself. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to continuing my philosophical journey.

Through this group project, I was able to analyze current world issues through a comparative philosophical perspectives as a foundation for conducting cross-cultural communication. In this
project, we have decided to researchon how the life of most of the people in this society right now are controlled by the social standards that the internet has given a name for them which is “The Sheep”. Through the research, I have understood that some standards should be followed by us to maintain the society order, however, not all the standards set by the society are right and we have the right to disagree with those standards.
In this project, I have grouped with a group of people that were very responsible and proactive in participating in this project. Though at first, it was quite confusing in what we have to do, we were all very active in expressing our ideas and by this I have also acquired the skill of being more articulated in expressing my ideas, discussing them with my groupmates and finding a middle ground in our discussions. I also find that being resourceful is important in this project. Finding ways on how to film our video for our project and how to present it in a creative way to achieve the result that we want. In this project, we also need people from the internet to help with our finding which is kind of new to me when taking their opinions into our research, knowing that there is differences in opinions between one another with different cultural background too.
Lastly, I appreciate the chances given by this project for me to explore on the existing world issues that usually we would not care much in our life in most cases and think through the issue through philosophical aspects. This project has given me an alert that I have my social responsibility in making the world a better place and I will always keep the knowledge that I have gained in this project for future use.

This project was a very eye-opening experience for me. Discussing social standards, our chosen topic, with my other group mates enabled
me to discover more about its significance and how it about its significance and how it affects my community today. I was also able to practise my communication skills while conducting research with said group mates as I was encouraged to express my opinions regarding the topic with one another.

I was also able to understand different people with different work ethics, and how synergy in a working community is so important in making a project work. I also learned how to manage my time well while working on this project, as well as see things from others’ perspective and views.
As a suggestion, I think projects like this might need a lesser amount of students working together, as I find there are times where I feel I’ve not done as much work as the rest. However, it was a pleasure working with so many people at once, and it brought me out of my comfort zone as a change.
Overall, I have had amazing, hardworking and driven group mates, and without them this project would not have been as enjoyable. The friendships and trust made along the way was what made this an experience of a lifetime. The leadership from our group leader was admirable and respectable, with high efforts in discipline, meetings were conducted from time to time to keep the group on track. Sometimes some members are not able to attend physically, but my group mates would still open online platforms as an option.
I am grateful for this project, the lecturers, and everything in between.

Hello, my name is Rachel, and I'm a thinker who is interested in the existence of philosophy. Well, before this class, I used to think about why philosophy
has conflicting opinions, such as the early birds get the worm, but there's also the saying that slow and steady wins the race. To a greater extent, weren't the early worms also caught by the early birds?

As a result, the explanation of the confusion becomes increasingly appealing throughout the module. There is no absolute right or wrong. The philosophy's objective is to provide people the chance to engage in deeper thought, which can result in the development of a worldview and indirectly influence the creation of workable solutions.

By relating it back to the project, I have the most incredible teammate for the project; it is hard to think of an improvement for the project. But the improvement gained for the next project is noted, and according to Taylor’s Graduate Capabilities (TGC), I have activated Lifelong Learning and Digital Literacy due to this project. While the skills were gained while doing the website for this project, I also got involved in the filming process.

And last and foremost, I am sincerely grateful to meet them in this module. also getting a chance to get involved in this amazing project. This module sparked deep thought in me, giving me the opportunity to understand and delve deeper into philosophy, recognize the various types of philosophy in everyday life, and understand the goal of making people think more about themselves.

As a student in this philosophy module, I recently completed a group project on social standards. This project has given me a better understanding of the concept of social standards
and their impact on our lives. One of the most important lessons I took away from this project was that social standards are not absolute and can vary greatly between cultures and societies. For example, in some cultures, public displays of affection may be considered unacceptable, whereas, in others, it may be considered normal. This realization made me appreciate cultural diversity and understand that what is considered right in one culture may not be considered right in another. Working in a group also taught me the value of collaboration and communication in achieving a common goal.
We were able to create a comprehensive project by collaborating with my group members and bringing our unique perspectives and ideas to the table. Furthermore, we were able to learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses while also improving our own skills. The research aspect of the project was also beneficial to me. I was able to broaden my knowledge and understand the various opinions and points of view on social standards as a result of my research and information gathering. This aided me in forming my own opinions and comprehending the complexities of the subject. In conclusion, working on this project has been a valuable learning experience for me, and I am grateful for the opportunity. I now have a better understanding of social norms and their impact on our lives, as well as the value of collaboration and communication in achieving a common goal. I am confident that this experience will help me in my future studies and professional endeavours.

The course for me was a great way to communicate. Since I was still in my country for the first week I still managed to get into a group through
communication. I think communication was the key for me for this course. Throughout this course I got to meet new people through interviews. It was a great experience for my self observation.

The first time we had the opportunity to have the group meeting I was still in my country. But we quickly decided on how can we do the assignment on what topic. We went with many social issues that we face but in my opinion the topic “sheep” was the most significant one.

Thought the assignment we got he opportunity to learn through the internet and also a lot of people. We got to learn about their background. About the social issues that they have to go through, everyday. Society has been pressuring us so much that we decide to become a sheep and follow whatever they want us to.
I got to know how much we lose ourselves through but the societal norms that we forget to have our real selves within us. Sometimes during this process we become people pleasers. The people pleasing thing doesn’t help us in any meaningful way but instead they tend to make people walk all over ourselves. Hence, I would say this was an amazing experience for self reflection and knowing the self worth.

We began this task with a meeting to discuss potential options; we then went around the room to share our suggestions for the topic we
wanted to concentrate on. Whilst discussing, we came across a realisation of how social standards are one of the most prevalent problems in many aspects in life but are not acknowledged enough in the society. We therefore made the decision to settle on social standards.
After settling on the topic, we made the decision to organise a second meeting to discuss how to carry out the movie and make it distinctive while clearly stating that we are drawing awareness to how social standards have a harmful influence on society. One of our teammates highlighted the popular YouTube programme "Jubilee," and she described how they go about spreading awareness. We felt that the concept of the video would be intriguing because we have not yet seen anyone from Taylor's University use that concept before. Everyone then decided to move through with that idea, so we scheduled another meeting to organise our execution and make arrangements for the venue. After carrying out a meeting for the bookings of the venue, we set up the time we want to carry out the event.
Although there were some complications along the way, everything worked out far better than we had anticipated, and I am thankful for the people I did this with; I consider myself fortunate to have a superb team and to have everything go without a hitch.

My name is Mau Kian Yi, and I'm from SABD. First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to each and every one of my group members in this module, MPU3192 Falsafah dan Isu
Semasa, for their dedication to their specific task and willingness to lend a helping hand whenever one of them needed assistance in a particular area or circumstance.
In our group project, I came to the realisation that although Malaysian societal norms and standards are actually extremely serious, we don't really give them much thought even though they frequently occur in our daily lives. After conducting study on how pride may influence social norms or standards in our society, I discovered that a lot of things were occurring, since you never know until you investigate something. As a result, we conducted several surveys, statistical analyses, and sociological experiments in order to increase the validity and accuracy of our research.

In addition, I was a member of the social media team and I had to set up accounts on FB and IG as well as post our final film to YouTube. It was difficult at first since my groupmate and I didn't know how to design our posts or what to include inside, but over time, we started to come up with ideas and things started to go pretty smoothly. The final result was far superior to what we had anticipated.

Last but not least, I believe that working on this group assignment taught me a great deal about a variety of topics that are not typically covered in textbooks or other sources. Therefore, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and hoped that anyone who saw our movie and social media page could gain some new understanding about what social norms or standards are in their daily lives.

This assignment was an eye-opening experience for me. It made me think about the social standards in society and how they influence our lives.
It showed me how much the expectations of society can shape our behaviour and our decisions. It also made me realize that there is a lot of pressure to conform to these standards and that it can be difficult to resist. On the other hand, it made me appreciate the importance of being true to yourself and embracing your individuality.
We as individuals, should stand up to our own beliefs and ideologies and not become a “sheep” in the shepherd’s herd. Everyone should be more open to expressing their own sense of individuality even though we live in a society where we are expected to look and act a certain way that is more appealing to our current society. Expressing yourself without worrying about what others think is important because it allows you to be true to yourself. It can help build confidence and self-esteem, as well as enabling you to be more creative and open-minded. It also allows you to be authentic, which can help you to grow and develop as a person. Ultimately, it can help you to create a sense of inner peace and contentment.
When you achieve inner peace within yourself, it can lead to improved mental health, increased resilience, and improved physical health. You may also find yourself feeling more at ease with life, better able to cope with stress, and better able to make decisions. This can lead to better relationships, increased productivity, and a more meaningful life.

In this assignment, our team is keen to investigate the topic on sosial standard. Our group leader was very kind and full of responsibility to delegate the tasks equally for all of us.
For me, my tasks are researching, shooting as a cameraman and also editing the video. It's seems easy but we put a lot of efforts to complete our task perfectly.

As a research team's member, we had discussed about the topic to research deeply at first. We separated into different parts based on the topic and i am assigned to research about human behaviour on sosial standard. It was a happy time with my groupmates because we completed our respective tasks together while hanging out with them. The atmosphere was so chill to discuss with them and the collision of ideas were exhilarated and thrilled. But the hardest part of this task was finding the statistics of the human behavior as the investigation on this topics is still not deep enough.

On the shooting day, I was assigned as a cameraman and I am so excited to use the camera. Since I am not so familiar to the camera, my groupmate was so kind to teach me patiently until I could manage to record the video by the camera. As a backstage staff, it was interesting to see the participants answering the question because what are they saying were so thought-provoking.

After finishing to record the video, we compiled all the footage into Google drive and my last tasks started. I would said it was a tough time to edit the video because I have another video to edit from etika class. Time management was the most important skills that I have a very huge intention to learn because I always burn the midnight oil to rush the task. Obviously, it took a long time to finish it and drag the progression of the video. I really felt bad for my teammates but fortunately the video outcome was so good and I really love it very much!
